We all love a good lippie to finish off our makeup look! I love experimenting with different eyeshadows, foundations, and mascaras, but when it comes to lips I tend to stick with the same go-to shades. I love a neutral lip or a bold pop of color, and I’m a sucker for a pinky nude.

Today, I’m rounding up five of my all-time favorite lip products!

must-have lip products

1. Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Polish in Brooke

I cannot hype this lip gloss up enough! Fun fact: My middle name is Brooke, and this product is a perfect nude for my lips! It’s almost like it was made for me.

It is a plumping gloss, so it does give a slight tingling sensation when you apply it, but if you don’t mind that (which I don’t), it will work wonders for your pout. They have tons of shades and plenty of nude options, as well as some brighter pops of color if you’re feeling adventurous.

2. Mac Lustre Lipstick in Patisserie

From what I’ve seen in pictures, it looks great on both light and dark skin tones, and it has the perfect balance of shine without being too shimmery. It goes on as a beautiful pinky nude with just a touch of shine to give your lips a moisturized, supple look. And of course, Mac has the best formulas ever, so it will never dry out your lips.

3. Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches

While I do appreciate high-end formulas from brands like Mac and Buxom, I also appreciate the power of a drugstore lip!

Nyx has some of the best glosses around, and they come in every color under the sun. Their butter gloss is my absolute favorite because it smells amazing, glides on like a dream, and wears really well. And the $4-5 price tag definitely doesn’t hurt.

4. Colourpop Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencils

Another hit for an affordable price! Colourpop is truly the master of lipstick, and their creamy Lippie Stix provide perfect coverage that lasts all day without drying out your lips. They have a satiny finish with just a hint of shine, and they glide on like butter.

What’s even better is that each Lippie Stix has a matching Lippie Pencil, so you’ll be walking away with your very own lip kit for less than $15. I have them in a bunch of different colors, but my favorite combo is the Lippie Stix and matching Lippie Pencil in the shade Lumiere.

5. Mac Satin Lipstick in Snob

I have to admit, I rarely take risks when it comes to my lipstick. I love nude lips or deeper maroon shades, but other than that I try not to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to color choice. But I bought this baby on a whim and fell in love!

I’m not going to lie. It’s pink. Like, really pink. But with the right liner or gloss, you can tone it down to a nude, or you could just rock that bright pink pout all day long! I’ve done it both ways, and this lipstick is gorgeous either way you slice it.

It pairs really nicely with a rose gold or brown smokey eye, and it almost always turns heads. If you want your lips to grab you some attention, this is the shade for you.

That’s all for today’s post! What’s your favorite lip product or combo? Let me know in the comments, and don’t forget to share this post with your fellow beauty lovers!
